Challenges

ERP Concept for Henry Lambertz GmbH & Co

The rapid growth of the company, acquisitions and participations of other companies were a great challenge for the I.T. support of Lambertz GmbH.

The expansion of the product portfolio to include organic biscuits, cakes, pralines and nougat in addition to the traditional products inevitably led to higher demands on master data management, the supply chain, packaging and logistics.

The existing hardware and software had reached their limits due to the enlarged company group. The additional requirements placed upon I.T. security, communication, servers and clients meant the internal I.T- department were unable to carry out an ERP conception and ERP selection project alone.

Solution

First, we defined and established a project team with Lambertz GmbH across several locations.

Our established process model for recording the requirements created the necessary process transparency with simultaneous process optimisation. This led to new process designs or processes, the resulting ERP specifications and requirements, started with controlling and finance, through production to logistics, were used as the basis for a tender to find a suitable ERP supplier.

The requirements from retail/wholesale and the private label business were also taken into account, whilst in parallel, a concept for upgrading the hardware and I.T. infrastructure was created.

In the course of software presentations, a suitable ERP provider was successfully identified. Contract negotiations followed ...
